Does this look authentic?
Any idea on the likely year? |

Given the bad quality pictures you provided, I don’t see any obvious tells that this watch is not original.
However, this watch is in serious bad state, especially the bracelet. I think it soon will just fall off. The whole watch has been polished way too many times and thus is NOT a good purchase! I wonder why you look again for so rotten pieces? After the one last week you again find such a worn down piece? I wonder is it a budget topic, which is totally fine, but then I’d suggest, saving up for a better quality piece of a 16013, which is quite easy to find. If it’s not a budget thing, then I suggest looking at some threads for DJs here on the forum after a search for 16013 and look for the sales section here. I just recently added a 16613 near mint with box and papers and recent service papers. The watch is never polished and specifically not polished at the last Rolex and only service. Bought of a dealer and I paid dearly for it but it is something that I will keep in my collection for ever.
Now on the flip side I have come across some tired and not so elegant examples. But for me these are fun watches, there no such thing as a bad watch as long as it is an authentic Rolex. Everything is dependent on price. This is a perfect watch to throw on a aftermarket leather strap and use it at the gym or whatever. Yes maybe it’s over polished and the strap is at the end of its life but everything is dependent on price. Quote:

Hi,
thanks for explaining. If you´re looking for a daily rocker, where you need not think about where and how you put it on, and it´s therefore not expensive, I think this does it. Of course the price point should really be good with this one... BR Torsten |
