airking 5500

hello from ohio ...last week i purchased my first rolex a ss airking 5500 i purchased the watch on ebay for 1249 shipped after having the watch looked over by a ad in the cleveland area and insured all was well (phew) i was wondering how i did as far on price the watch is 1987 vintage . i realy like the simplestic elegance of this model had a croc band placed on the watch im good to go looking for oppinions on the watch and how i did on price thanks to all who read and respond to my post looks like many an hour will be spent here reading.....

Post some pics as obviously condition is a large factor in what it's worth, but going on what a 5500 would sell for here in the UK I'd say you did OK on price.
The Air-King is a great watch, like the OP it is has everything a Rolex should have.
Oyster case in Steel, Automatic movement etc...

I like the older ones because they did the stick dial.
There are some incredible deals out there.

As stated, if it is running within a few seconds a day, you did great.
Even if it is a minute or so a week, that's nothing an adjustment wouldn't fix.

thank you for the reply right now it 2-3 sec off of the us navy master clock if havent tried placing it in different posisitions at night ill try im good with it so far thiers one on ebay right now ready to close blue face with box and papers over 1500 ps ,,,,,,any one have a pillow for my box they are willing to sell

my AK is off 2-3 sec any thing to get it dead on

still figuring out how to post pix the ad who looked at my ak gave it a 8 out of 10 very little use very very small hairline scratches unseen with the naked eye crystal flawless ss band a couple of very light scratches by clasp
