<<< Rolex weight info. >>>

Good morning all

I was doing a little research on my next acquisition and for me, one of the factors in making a decision comes down to weight.

I stumbled across this site which lists quite a few references and their weights so I thought I’d share here:

https://millenarywatches.com/rolex-w...rolex-watches/

Forgive me if this had already been covered elsewhere. I did a quick search and couldn’t come up with an all in one sort of resource for this

Really nice Brian. I worry about weight because I wear my watches on the right wrist and I'm right handed, so it gets extremely uncomfortable for me when the watch weights more than 150/160g. Thanks for the link my friend. Cheers

Same ... well except the right wrist part

It’s taken me a while to figure out what works and what doesn’t in terms of size and weight.

In addition to the clue above ... it’s a polarizing reference to some.

Just can’t decide on the dial color. I really like the look of those floating hands on the black dial.

I really need to see them together ideally

From your recent posting, I thought you might be on the verge of dabbling in GS or Rolex PM, but the Explorer II also is a very fine choice!

As for dial color, the white seems like the “obvious” choice given the several black dials in your collection, but the black Exp II is so nice with the orange hand. Tough one! Hope you get to check them out soon.

Excellent! Either one would look good, matter of dial preference. So you're going to have a pair of divers and a pair of GMT complications, each with their own flair

Congrats in advance Brian! Both dial colors look great, but I agree with you, the floating hands on the black dial are slick! Let us know what color you decide on.

Good info Brian, never seen that before. May also be useful for those who want to make sure their watch is not a fake. Maybe a weight difference helps.

Geez I’d love to see some GS, but our local AD didn’t have much selection the last time I was there.

As for PM, I’m just not there. I don’t care forvitbin the professional references, just prefer SS in those. I would love to add a Day Date at some point but I have a finicky wrist and can’t imagine the weight of that reference without any adjustment

As soon as it’s safe ... and these ADs reopen I’ll be looking at EXPII as they had them both before the lock down

That was my thinking, and I love the size and weight. Hopefully it fits the wrist as I hope

An excellent choice, my friend. Allow me to assist.

If I may, I will offer my experience. I started with lusting after the polar. But, as luck would have it, the day my polar came in, my AD got a black dial as well. I was stunned how much I liked it.

I did some flipping around and ended up with the black, which has become my favorite oddly enough. Yeah, I have both and the polar is great, but, the black is the one I'd keep if I needed to move one on.

Lots of weight threads in here but that one does have a nice list. IMO very important on buying PM versions since they cant fake the weight of Gold/Platinum.

Thanks, it is very helpful.

How about SS 16520 weight? Is it same as SS 116520 (140g)?
