A Daydate and an omega for a Patek ?
Hello fellow members I was offered a Patek 5066 Aquanaut only box no papers and unknown service history.
I would be trading a white gold Daydate 18039 that was just serviced by Rolex And a planet ocean 45 8500 also just serviced by omega. All inputs are appreciated Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I would not make the trade. I'd rather have two GREAT watches that I know the history of than one watch with unknown variables just because it says PP on the dial. I am not an Aquanaut fan, though.

Btw I have a 5711 blue dial, and if I go through with this I would not have a Rolex any more, the collection will be 5711, 5066, 15400 black, Oris skeleton. The Oris will have to find a new home in exchange for a daily Rolex like a Datejust, or a sub.

Even if it was an aquanaut, that thing is hideous. Keep your daydate and PO. The DD complements your 5711 and 15400. Maybe flip the oris and PO for a sub

I wouldn’t do it with my DD alone. I think the DD look 10 times better than that Patek.

I personally don't like the Patek, it looks boring to me, but I respect different people have different taste.

a 34mm Patek? You do know it is a woman's timepiece, yes? Wife had that, or was it the 5065, anyway no way would I ever make that trade. If it was a 5167 I still would not do the trade, and I had the 5167.

It’s 35.6mm. I had a 5167 (40mm) and it wears small. I sold it after about four months when prices started getting frothy. The movement has a terrible buzzy sound to the rotor spinning. My wife had the diamond version of what you are looking at (35.6mm) and she sold it too. She bought a 36mm DateJust that wears much larger. A COA is five months at $1,000. My advice would be not to do it.

Let me add to that chorus by saying, no way in hell, and I have no idea why you would want to make that trade. That PO is a beauty. So is the DD. Does the owner of the Patek also have one of your family members hostage?
