AP 26315 Incoming and thoughts
Was waiting a few days before posting an incoming thread because wanted to experience the watch first. Here is a brief review.
Size: 38mm case is definitely the sweet spot for me. The bracelet completely hugs my 6.3in wrist with one link removed. There is no big clasp sticking out (like on the older APs which I have owned). I also previously had a 15400 and a 15450 so can give an idea to prospective owners. The 15400 was too big for me and could never get the bracelet to fit properly despite the 1.5 link. The 15450 fit well but I thought the case was too thick for the size and the dial a tiny bit too small. This 38mm solves all these issues. Perfect proportions for this size. Dial: I have a white dial daytona so I opted for grey dial on this one. I think it is unique in the sense that it is completely integrated. From the steel bracelet and bezel to the silver subdials and the sparkling hour markers. It just works. The subdials have a shiny outer ring that really pops. I also think that despite the subdials being asymmetrical, the size difference between the top 2 and bottom is less prounounced compared to the 41mm ROC which I like better. The minute tracker on the outside is a lighter color so doesnt make the dial appear smaller (contrast to the white dial version). And all the talk about the date window placement... I get it but it is a minor “issue” to me. The date wheel is same color as dial and it mostly blends in. The dial is typical AP with multiple personalities and color changes depending on the lighting. Very stealth look IMO. Bracelet: as mentioned, typical amazing RO bracelet. Smaller clasp works for my wrist size. Initially I felt that the bracelet could be perhaps a bit wider but after wearing it a few days I wouldn’t change a thing. It doesn’t feel as small as the 15450 because it is a bit wider at the lugs. Movement: Well known, robust workhorse. Keeps excellent time. The pushers are nice because not screwed down so very easy to use. Good tactile feedback. Would I prefer an in-house chrono? Sure but the daytona has been using the same movement for 20 yrs because it works. If it aint broke.. Value: I didn’t like the recent price increase but it pays to play I guess. Would this be a 30k watch or a 20k watch in the future? I don’t know but I will enjoy it regardless! ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

First congrats, very nice pick up. I’m actually waiting on mine.
I share similar concerns on the movement not being in house and therefore closed case back also the date window is a bit annoying tbh. Overall, it’s very well designed watch. Wear in good health ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Congrats!! It’s a beauty.
Initially the date placement really bothered me, but it’s less noticeable on this dial combo. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Beautiful, and congratulations!
I'm sure you're not going to obsess about whether this watch trends toward $20k or $30k, but if I had to bet what will happen, I'd lay money on it settling closer to $30k. Just look at this message board - the appeal of the 26315 is almost universal and I see it only gaining in popularity. |

I love this watch--and I don't think it gets nearly enough attention with everyone obsessing over the panda. I prefer the ruthenium.
Post some more pics! |

Congratulations. I can’t wait to try the 38mm version to compare to the 41mm.

Congrats! Looks great on yours.
I have a 6.3 - 6.5" inch wrist, and somehow this ROC 38mm just looks too small on mine. Somehow the 41mm is just more suitable for me, but just a tiny tad big. 40mm would be perfect |

Surprised to hear that. It doesn’t get more ideal fit wise for me. Shape of wrist of course a factor as well. ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Amazing. Congrats.
Love my grey 26315 and surprised with how robust the movement is - good PR above spec and starts off very quick. Interestingly, I also thought I had a 6.3" wrist, but I removed 3 links. ![]() |

Looks great on you and the silver is really nice. Congrats.
I have the 41mm and while I do like it a lot I appreciate they wear big because of the bracelet integration. I will try a 38mm at some point but haven't done so yet. I'm about 7.25inch wrist and about 2.5inch across the flat. I'm hoping the 38mm will be too small so I don't have to pay to swap to the smaller case :) Sent from my VOG-L09 using Tapatalk

That'll be way too small for you, unless you're really into it ...
I agree the case/bracelet makes it broad - the 38mm ROC about as broad as a 41mm Overseas, but the dial does not grow because of it, so I wouldn't want a smaller AP on my 6.3" wrist. |

Agree with above. I think with your wrist size it would be too small. Stick with the 41mm!
