Which one would you buy.

Quick question for the members here. I have an m series TT blue sub, and m series Daytona white dial. Lately I've fallen in love with the SS submariner, but I've also falllen for the Blancpain 50 fathoms. I also like the look of the black dial with black leather strap.

If you had a choice which one would you get. I know that one is 40mm and the other is 45mm. Is it good to diversify or stay with Rolex? what do you guys think.

BP 50 Fathoms. I wish I could afford one. Simply elegant.

I love the sub but the Blancpain FF is the ultimate watch. No Rolex comes close to the FF, go buy one.

I love the BP FF. However, the one thing that that would keep me from owning one is the "BLANCPAIN" in large letters on the side of the case. Tacky for such a cool watch.

i had an opportunity to buy the FF a few weeks back but changed my mind at the last minute & bought a PAM233 instead. Anyways, the FF was great but the deal-killer for me was the strap. it felt flimsy and really unappealing. unfortunately, there was no ss bracelet or rubber strap versions available and so i decided to go with the PAM instead.

Well, you can always get one with the bracelet. I would prefer the bracelet myself.

Why would the BP FF be better than any Rolex? Just curious as to whether that is a purely subjective statement.

I had a FF for a while and replaced it with a Green Anniversary Sub and a SD. The FF is a beautiful, well made watch, no doubt. The sapphire bezel is incredible. Mine consistently lost 4 sec. a day, even after it was regulated by the factory! It is also extremely large and wears rather larger than 45 mm - at least on me. But they are beautiful and I can certainly understand those who want one and want to keep it. But I prefer the subs.

On the modern ones I would definetely go for the Sub.
Speaking on vintage 50 fathoms I would have to scratch my had.
Fortunately I do have a lot of Vintage Subs as well as 2 BP 50 fathoms

It does wear larger but there is a very clean look to the watch that attracts me to it. Even with the canvas strap it in my opinion it still looks very elegant as opposed to the more utilitarian look of the the sub.
