SMP 300 in Sedna Gold, Scratch resistant?
Hi,
I have been thinking about getting a SMP 300 in Sedna Gold/Black. I tried it at my local Omega Boutique and it is quite stunning. I am bit worried however whethe the Sedna Gold parts would scratch easily. Any experiences? Thanks. |

I have a Seamaster Aqua Terra in solid Sedna gold. It scratches up very easily, like most golds will.

I’ve one. Just accept scratches will happen, otherwise go for a ceramic cased watch. Ive yet to mark mine though, there’s very little surface area for the gold to come into contact with anything.

For how long have you had it (SMP 300 in Sedna)? Would you recommend it /buy it again? |

Are you looking at it on the bracelet or on rubber? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I have the two tone blue on rubber, but I often put it on the SS bracelet from my white SMP. I wear it to do anything in, and I haven't noticed the bezel scratching at all. In terms of the bracelet, I'd say because of the thin layer of gold running down it, that you wouldn't have to worry about it at all. It shouldn't scratch any more regularly than the SS version. It'll get scratches, but mine mostly have them on the clasp, and it handles things much better than my root beer did.

Only since January. So not much time to get scuffed up. Also, having it on rubber helps; which I honestly think looks much better, the bracelet looks super 90s to me.

I have a Seamaster 300 in sedna gold and don't find it to be too bad in terms of scratches but I'm reasonably careful and don't wear it to the office to avoid desk diving marks.
