What a crock of you know what!!

C’mon Esquire...these are the models you think you can “actually buy” in 2020? I mean technically you can..

No, you're right. It's an extremely misleading article, especially because it lists the retail price. Most of those watches cannot be bought at retail without an extensive purchase history.

Although Esquire isn't the influential fashion magazine that it used to be, it is a website / magazine, for fashion, life style and today too much politics. The Rolex watch list is a list of vintage, expensive, and difficult to obtain current watches. If Esquire didnt include these pieces, then they wouldn't be a good source of lifestyle, culture, and watches. Thanks for sharing the article.

A big crock indeed. I imagine the disappointment of going to the AD looking for #1, 5, 6. "What? Why are you laughing at me? Esquire said that I CAN buy it."

All Rolex watch models may be purchased at an AD for MSRP. Remember, patience is a virtue.

Maybe so but probably not in 2020 without some history!

Anyway, I know they needed to show the flashy models to their audience...but I cracked up going through this. Thought they might at least prioritize some of the more attainable options or even allude to the difficulty (vs “you can actually buy”) in getting these at MSRP.

Here at this forum nearly everyday we read stories of people walking into an AD and buying one of the Rolex models featured within the OP's article. No history, bundling, or "relationship"; just walking in and buying, happens every day.

Email him, I hear Johnny hooks up all his readers.

Hmmm, maybe it's a satirical article?

You can certainly but them at grey dealers for a helluva mark up. Did they fail to mention that

Saw that yesterday. That has to be the lamest article. They just made a list of what Rolexes are currently sold for the most part. No real content at all.

There are a few models that you absolutely do not ever hear about somebody walking to an AD and just randomly buying.

I asked my AD about getting a 1016. They said they put me on the list.

Fingers crossed.

There should be an asterisks on the "(That You Can Actually Buy In 2020)"...

... *just not from an AD...

When someone says there is a Rolex shortage, many of you are quick to jump and say there is no shortage. You can get them all from our trusted sellers with overnight shipping.

This is a completely accurate headline. You can get any Rolex model you want from the many trusted sellers and online sources. Most can have it to you next day.

The poster above that said there should be an *maybe not from an AD is correct.
