Walked in for a Datejust, but walked out with this...

Ever since I sold my JLC master moon, I've been wanting another dress watch as I wear suits/button down every day at work. DJ 36 and Revero have always been at the top of my list.

I have a strong dislike for roman/arabic numerals on a dial. Most of the smaller Reverso models all come with arabic numerals... with the exception of 85th Anniversary Tribute Duo (42.8mm lug to lug), which is no longer in production. Given that I have tiny wrist at 6.25 on a good day I've always shied away from their other tribute models with indices/hour markers due to generally grande size, 47mm and above.

My dealer called me and convinced me to go in and try the Tribute small second which has a 45.6 lug to lug size in addition to the DJ. To be honest, I was really skeptical about the size, until I tried it on today... Wow, what a watch and a perfect fit, I fell in love instantly! The watch looks much smaller in real life than pictures and wears super comfortably, actually much smaller than my Tank solo. The best part about the watch is the dial, 50 shades of blue/purple.

Please let me know what you guys think!

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the kind words everyone! All of my Rolex including my wife’s are sports models, thought I’d change things up a lil. Definitely acquires an unique taste for it. I’m a huge fan of Ronnie the rocket O’Sullivan, and I’ve been watching him play with his Reverso for years! So I thought I need to have one in my life.

Congrats! That was a great change of mind to go for that piece over a DJ. Not a lot of peoples style I'm sure but thats not a bad thing, it sure looks classy with a deco kind of flair to it. Love the blue dial as well. Kudos to you.. Enjoy!!

Beautiful dial! Surely a perfect fit with a suit. If you happen to have a photo of the watch with shirt/suit on, maybe you could also share it here. Thank you.

Very classy.

One question. How long do you think it'll be before your wife steals it?

O’Sullivan is amazing. Did you ever see that series he did called American Hustle? It’s on YouTube. Nice watch!
