Feedback Please - Kermit or Hulk

Really starting to zero-in on an LV as next acquisition. Not sure whether I ought to go 16610LV (“Kermit”) - non-Flat 4 - or 116610LV (“Hulk”).

I have in my collection a 5-digit 14060M and a 6-digit 116610LN, and love both for their own respective reasons.

For those who own or have had a chance to handle both in the flesh, which would you prefer if having to choose one - Kermit or Hulk?

If you have bigger wrist or likes larger watch go for Hulk, else Kermit with better investment potential due to limited quantity

Search is your friend - quite a few threads on this topic. Anyway, LVc for me without question: the dial, glidelock, bracelet, ceramic insert, sportier lugs, incremental movement improvements. Oh, yeah, the dial. Did I mention that? :-)

Kermit and it’s not close. The kelly green pastel hulk with giant lugs is far from a balanced and proportioned watch. The Kermit has exceptional proportions and the green bezel is not that pastel green, and classic lugs.

Looking at your collection - I would definitely keep the 14060M and will exchange the 6 digit LN for the Hulk. You will have best of the 5 and 6 digit SS subs.

Why is it today Rolex watches have now become little more than thinking of some sort of investment objects.Instead of buying and owning the watch you yourself wants to own and wear.Trouble today with Rolex watches they are not seen as one of the finest mechanical watches made today, seen by many as little more than $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and little else.

I prefer the Hulk because I like the refinements and materials of the modern six digits. The ceramic bezel and modern bracelet are leaps and bounds over the five digits. As for value, no idea and I don't really care (just being honest).

Could care less about investment value. Truly torn between two watches at the moment.

I guess most would prefer to buy a watch this expensive to not depreciate in value?

I chose Neither.
I had a kermit for 5 years and wore it 3 times.
I just don't like green, I sold it and doubled my money.

If you forced me to choose one I would go with the Kermit,
only because it has LESS green.

There are other cheaper brands that make quality movements, Zenith is one such example and their movements were great, they were even used in Rolex Daytona in the past.

16610LV . (I don't understand nickname talk.)

116610LV .I dont like the all green scheme.

Black dial with green insert much more interesting .
Be sure its an original with box and papers .

All of your watches are quite similar...save for color.

I'd branch out to other brands. Unless, you just have to have a green watch for some reason. If that's truly the driver, flip a coin.

Happy St Patricks Day!

The short answer is neither. If you don't want one of them enough to be able to decide without an online poll, you don't want either badly enough.

This is a very subjective area. It's impossible to recommend either to a stranger.

I looked at a Kermit when you could actually walk in and buy one. These times are not mythical. They were in UK AD's windows, or in stock if you asked. I thought the bracelet was flimsy and insubstantial. The diving extension was a joke and the watch did not justify its then MSRP. I also thought it could do with having a slightly meatier case. Nothing drastic, just a bit more case heft and a lot more bracelet heft - not to mention bracelet build quality.

Based on this, the fact that I own a Hulk is no surprise. I think the Kermit is as overrated as it is classically beautiful. I think the Hulk is also overrated, but it's exactly what I wanted. I couldn't possibly tell you which you like more.

Both, Hulk if must pick one, the sunburst green dial is amazing if you like it. Kermit is basically a black sub with a green insert, a great one to add to a collection though.

I love green watches, but I'm kind of over the Hulk at this point. Maybe because I see pictures of it everywhere it seems. Either way, I vote Kermit.

When your spending that amount of money.... the decision needs to be yours. Any Rolex you buy will hold its value so just buy the one you like the best

They each have their charm and place in a collection!
I have the hulk not the kermit and for now the hulk has been great to me. One day I would still love to add a kermit though
