i visited my AD to tattle-tale on a flipper that he sold to (caught him red handed on eBay) and amazingly a watch i have been waiting a full year for just showed up for me!! a clue on which model is in my signature block; pics later boys!

Some will probably assume that the AD is rewarding you for bringing the flipper to their attention, when in reality it is probably a hush payment so word doesn’t get out that they’re knowingly selling to flippers...

This is exactly what I was thinking, I would bet 95%(at least) of the grey market is AD’s selling to the grey market.

The AD's care that someone flipped their watch?

Come on guys, is everyone still so naive that AD's care what people do with their watches? (Well maybe in the UK they seem too) AD's sell to grey dealers out the back door ALL DAY long. That is where at least half their stock goes. That's how it has always been.

AD's couldn't stay in business without doing that. How do you think they sell all those 36mm Datejusts, lady's pieces and PM pieces? They come in EVERY month and they must get sold. The AD's package them with all our coveted sports models to move stock.

Rolex sells close to 1 Million watches a year. ONE MILLION! That's the only reason why you think there is a shortage. They are selling out the back door. Go to any grey dealer district in your town and you will see hundreds or pepsi, batman, daytona models. Shortage, Laugh Out Loud

Disagree with you.

I was looking out for my AD. The AD I deal with made it very clear to me if they catch me flipping they will get in trouble, so I was giving them a heads up. Looks like it worked out for me, I’m sorry that upsets you.
