Is it me or have Rolex put the kiss of death on the DeepSea?

Either love it or hate it the DeepSea a marvelous piece of modern engineering and to Rolex I take my hat off. But have they fated it with Model number 116660? 11-666-0. Is 666 not the number of The Devil, Bielsibub, Satan?!?!?! Why didn't they do like the GMT IIc and just put an extra 1 at the beginning of the model number? Original GMT II 16710 GMT IIc 116710.

With that I believe DeepSea should be 116600 NOT 116660!!!!

Thoughts!

J

P.S. I still want one!!!!!! If anyone has one available in the UK!

Well, it's not the first time they have put the triple six in the SD reference, there was a 16660 a while back and that seemed to do just fine! As far as Karma goes, I think Rolex has racked up enough good will with their donations to so many charities that it will offset any possible ill will of a triple six reference.

You've got a six on your avatar and one on your sig. One more and you'll fit right in with the Deepsea club.

The ref should be 116600 and not 116660? Hmmm, you could be right because it might be more logical that way. I guess the devil is in the detail eh?

Suppose your right. 6 From the 112, 6 From the 183, and the 6 from the 177!!! 116660 DeepSea is written in the stars. !!!!!

Jamie

Please help me get one!

Yes it is just you. The watch reference is 116660 not 666 - quite a bit of difference

The recent find of the earlier manuscripts puts the number as 616.

Doesn't worry me. I'm not superstitious and will never be, touch wood.

If it effects you, don't get it. If you can wear one and represent the King of Kings than do it! Remember the scripture "what the devil meant for evil, God can use got the good". I'm sure there have been many used by the devil while wearing a Rolex. That will not stop me from wearing one! I know that I'm used by God for good, mercy, grace, love and peace. Wear one to Raze hell! Raze means to rip through, demolish, and bring to not! The work of the devil! So wear one and everday remind him(the devil) that He(Jesus) will have the last say! In the end he will loose and He will win, no matter what it looks like right now! The book of Relelation, a love letter from John to you my brother! Be blessed in your thoughts!

Six has good Feng Shui. Besides 666 is the numerical value for the name of Roman emperor Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus. We know him simply as Nero. Contrary to popular belief, he didn't fiddle while Rome burned and probably wasn't nearly as nasty as they made him out to be. Still not a guy you'd invite 'round to watch your small children.

This is what happens when your biography is written by your enemies.

Would it be better with a 13 in the ref number?
