Looking for first Rolex

Good morning; first post here:

I'm going to get a Submariner Black Cerrachrom Oyster Datejust before the end of the year to mark surviving sixty years on this planet. Looking at a number of sources for a new watch, I've seen some (apparently reputable) dealers that are selling 'unworn' or 'unused' watches at a good discount from the $14.1K price I'd pay retail (about $13.5 for example). They're usually stating box, papers and tags are with the watch but I'm not sure they're including the Rolex warranty.

What are the pitfalls of getting one of these watches? Assume this is what is referred to as 'grey market' on some of the forums?

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Welcome aboard,
A bit confused, are you looking for a Submariner or a Datejust? As far reputable sellers, why not start by browsing the classifieds here? Good luck with the hunt.
By the way, why is the thread in the “watchout” section?

I’m pretty sure an unworn submariner can be found at one of the reputable dealers on this forum for less than the prices you have quoted. I’d recommend DavidSW as I’ve used him the most but others can like make good recommendations too!!
