What are my chances of getting a 216570 polar?

Hi,

I owned a 216570 polar 3 years ago, sold it, regretted it since.

What are my chances of getting one of these these days? is there a big wait list for this piece now?

I intend to sell my 116610LN to fund the purchase as I simply haven't bonded with my sub the way I did with my polar. The polar suits my lifestyle a lot better (walking, hiking etc).

Thanks,
Darren.

I’m sure you’ll get some varied responses... but I JUST was on this hunt, haha... After months of no luck dealing with every AD within driving distance of my city (12 to be exact)... I finally just went grey market. Was able to find a full set at a good price that I was comfortable with... Most of the dealers responded “I’m sorry.” with a facial expression that was half genuine pity and half “this guy must be kidding.” Ha. Happy hunting. Love mine!

My AD hasn't had one on display for a year. Less than two years ago I walked in, got 5% off and bought it on the spot. Since then I have seen the Polar in AD displays on travels throughout Europe. I don't know what the situation is today.

I suspect, although I don't know, that it will be "easier" to get in terms of being wait listed, than a lot of popular SS models at present. The grey market price hasn't gone bonkers yet. I think it's going to when the next update comes out. But again, I don't know.

I passed on one in May and decided I wanted one in June after my job steadied and have been waiting on my AD's list ever since. I stop by once every couple weeks and no dice so far.

I’m not as familiar as some with your country ... But I wonder if you’d have better luck doing a trade?

I would think there are plenty of people interested in the Submariner, and you just might get lucky that someone is in your shoes with the opposite conundrum.

I waited a year and one month almost to the day. This was at a Melbourne Australia AD. No buying history.

I was offered a black dial last week when I collected my BLRO. It's the first time I've had a good look at one and I really liked it. My AD said that the polar is more popular but both are now difficult to get and neither will make it to the window display these days. I suppose it depends on your purchase history like everything else does these days.

The gray market premium isn’t too high on this piece. You can purchase one basically new with a 1-1.5k premium and have it within a few days.
