Blue Dial OP loses 3,6,9

No more "explorer dial" OP. I just bought an OP36 in blue, glad I did!

I have a 2014 iteration. I was surprised to see them discontinue it.

Yes I just saw, I was waiting for the blue 3-6-9 dial from my AD

Now will have to see if I like the double indices at 3-6-9

I do like the slimmer lugs similar to the DJ36, newer movement, and easylink in the clasp now though. The lime has been updated to blue chromalite too.

If only they made these changes but kept the 3 6 9. I would buy one, would have been the perfect watch for me.

I agree. Will have to see them in person to see if they sing to me.

Im thinking the same thing. I love the case proportions of the DJ 36 (and now the OP 36) and the blue sunburst is gorgeous. However, Ive seen the old OP 36s with double indexes and did not care for them so Im not sure. Even if they just did single indexes all round it would be more boring than the 3 6 9 but still a definite buy.

Honestly, I think I might just add a blue DJ 36 to go with my black DJ 36 at this rate. They are the only 2 current Rolex watches I know I love. Or maybe a blue BB58 if I can see one...

I’m now wishing I had held on to my blue 3-6-9 dial OP. May become a highly collectible reference, if it isn’t already

Mine just arrived Friday afternoon. I was hunting for one for weeks and had considered ordering one brand new, but I couldn't find a single AD who actually offered one. They must have been preparing for the new dial changes over these past weeks. In the end, I found a mint one pre-owned with box and all papers, tags, etc. and I couldn't be more pleased. The blue dial is spectacular in the sunlight.
