First time

First time I have been on TRF when the new releases happen, can’t really believe the frenzy and hype that occurs over this, looks like only a few minor changes to the line up with some increasing in price.

The change to the Submariner line is significant. It's a brand new model and not something Rolex do frequently.

All the anticipation and hype and now toy throwing comes from discussions around the superficial stuff, like colour. This is important. But it's the top layer of a sea change.

The OP goes up 2mm. This is also significant. Putting different colour dials on it is a trend that will change over tome according to the market. The "new" Sky Dwellers are anything but. At least the replacement of a huge amount of PM with a rubber strap means Rolex can now actually quote a MSRP on their website!

It’s iconic

Watch wise and the fact they changed the size.

Essentially it’s an entire new line no just a few new dials / bezels.

Subs don’t change much and haven’t done for over a decade. It will be frantic for a week then die down

Must admit I haven’t looked through all the model changes, If I was looking for a particular reference I might be more excited, I expect I will feel different when looking for my next piece.
