Got my first rolex

Hi,

Rolex first came to my consciousness 12 years ago. Since it was too expensive at that time, I got myself a Tudor Submariner which I sold a year after. In 2002, I started making inquiries again about the Sub with date. Unfortunately, I still could not afford one. Last Saturday, I finally purchased my first Rolex, a Sub stainless steel with date from an authorized dealer. Now that I own one, I no longer will look at any other watch.

Congrats and welcome.

Sounds like you have waited a long time to get your Sub.

Now that you have it the fun is just beginning. Enjoy

Congrats on your purchase! That's a wonderful watch (I love mine)! Let's see some pics! But, I must caution you, you may say that you won't look at another watch, this site will make you long for additional watches to add to your collection.

I bought my GMT II new from an AD in 2000 and until recently I was a one watch guy. The thing is this watch really needs to be spruced up and should be sent in for service.

The problem is "what am I going to wear?"

So after nine years I started looking around again.

I liked the Day-Date, but thought it was too expensive. I bought a beautiful DJ on eBay from a quality seller for a good price. The problem was I then discovered I could get a beautifull vintage Day-Date for only twice what I paid for the DJ.

So now I'm a three watch guy.

My advice: RUN AWAY. GET OFF OF THIS FORUM WHILE YOU STILL CAN.

It's too late for me, but you might still have a chance.

Congrts on the new Rollie.

Since I have accuried mine, I have noticed that I look at watches all the time. New ones and ones others are wearing. It's like I have caught the bug pretty bad.

Congrats, but you will be looking at other watches sooner than you think.
