Recommendations for service in the US? (1665 SD)
I have a 1665 SD that is running a bit fast. It's been several years since last service. Also, the date wheel doesn't fully center in the window. Thinking it's time for a full movement service. Does anyone have recommendations for independent service in the US? I'm located in Delaware, but assume I'll have to ship it somewhere. Thanks!

I have had good experiences with Giovanni at the Independent Watch Service Center (former SF RSC) and LA Watch Works.

I'd use LA Watch Works or Rolliworks (both is CA).

May I suggest Phillip Ridley, who is also a TRF member and active on this vintage subforum.
He has helped me source some genuine Rolex tropic crystals and I know he has serviced vintage Rolex for many other members here. He’s based in Arizona now. Search the forum for him or just Google him.

Giovanni is excellent! A few years back he provided a full service to my +30 year old GMT. He did a FANTASTIC job. Bravo Giovanni!

Have worked with Phillip Ridley on over 10 pieces and have been consistently pleased.

+1 for Giovanni at Independent (it can't be any better as they were former RSC). I've been there multiple times and he treats his customers right. He overhauled my DJ and I couldn't be happier. I just dropped off a 5513 to Mike at Rolliworks. Didn't get it back yet but so far the customer service has been great. Dealt with Phillip Ridley as well and his service was great! |
