New LV Sub

Super psyched to have just picked this gem up from my longtime AD. I brought my SD43 and Bluesy in with me, for the sake of comparing, based upon all the dimension discussions here on TRF. Based on the hour I’ve had it, I definitely agree with the sentiment that’s it’s more “baby SD” than “bigger Sub.” The diameter comparison between “fat boy Sub” and the new models is imperceptible when on the wrist. However, it’s the new bracelet that makes it appear larger, and it is clearly more on par with the SD43 bracelet. There’s still a good feeling taper, and it feels perfectly balanced. They’re all keepers and my Rolex dive collection is complete.

I also took a pic of my Bluesy next to the new LB. I can confirm the dial and bezel color is the same as the previous generation. Aside from the bracelet, the only visible difference is the white v. gold text. Apologies for the crappy pics.

Congrats on your LV, now you have the twin towers.

From the photos, the bezel color of the 41mm SubC seem to be darker. Is that lighting playing trick or is it actually darker in person?

I tried on the 126610LN and was not overwhelmed by it. I find the SD43 to be more balanced on my wrist for some odds reasons. I’m happy with my 114060 and 126600 for now. I may consider the 126610LV when it becomes available. Thank you for sharing the pic.

Looking good! Is it just me though or does the crown look wack with the shrunken crown guards.

It’s not just you. In the picture, it looks very odd. I wonder if it’s just a strange angle.

Bro, you need to chill out.

I must have see 500 posts from you in the past week bashing the new designs and heralding the greatness of the outgoing models. You must be dedicating hours to it.

We get it, you don’t like it... take a break.

Congrats to the OP!

Just let him enjoy it.

Criticism should be kept out of the “incoming” threads and left to the “discussion“ threads.

I 100% agree that the new bracelet makes the new model wear larger. The more subdued crown guards also help with this in my opinion.

Very happy for you....and for me too.

Congrats! Looks like they’re finally making it across the pond. From what I can tell all of the other incomings have been within the EU.

Thanks for all the well wishes, guys, and congrats again to all those who've been blessed to get new models from your ADs.

The bezel color is the same as the Hulk, a watch I sold six months after buying it in 2018. Green has always - since I was a little boy - been my favorite color. The Hulk dial is insanely stunning, but it clashed next to the bezel, which I felt looked lime colored. Until today, I sometimes missed the Hulk, but the way this color plays off the black dial, it no longer looks lime, and instead is more cohesive. It looks emerald or hunter and, while it'll be a cold day in hell before I call it "The Starbucks," from a color standpoint, that's an apt description haha.

So, talking about taper.

What’s the start-end size in general?

I know the new sub starts at 21, old sub Starts at 20, and what is the narrowest point ?

Henrimontgomery - check out this post. Easily the most informative on TRF in recent weeks.

https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=763765

JayHantz - good luck, man. I wish you well in your quest. Keep the faith, because inventory is coming in, albeit at a trickle. For example, while my AD received an assortment of Subs, only one OP41. Strange times, right?

Very cool, thanks!

I’m on the fence between TT Sub, SD43 and YM40. I want a water watch, but unsure which.
