Could AD verify a purchase / warranty card of pre-owned watch?
Have you tried to get an AD to verify your pre-owned watch warranty card info? I.e. It says AD name, watch model/serial, date of purchase and purchaser name, to check if the watch was really purchased from them? Are they able to do that?

I expect that the Dealer could tell you if the watch was originally purchased from them. Anything else may fall under the various privacy laws in different countries.

I can’t imagine why they would, or would not admit or deny if they were the original sellers, just saying they don’t actually have to reveal anything if they don’t want to? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Mine wouldn’t do that. They would likely end up calling the original buyer and ask him why someone was calling him regarding watch.

As applies to my UK AD only, who I have known for 25 years. If the watch was originally bought from them they will verify the purchase date, which should match what is on the warranty card. They will not supply any other information regarding the watch's purchase/owner history.
If the watch was bought elsewhere they can only verify its authenticity, which they do by by opening it, which they are happy to do. They have a Rolex trained and accredited watchmaker on site. I offer to pay but so far they haven't charged me. I suppose this varies from AD to AD. |

I suppose this is another reason Rolex removed the ADs name from the new warranty cards. Fielding all these calls from worried buyers was eating into their time to pack up watches for shipment to their favorite reseller.

you have just answered a question I ask myself when my 2020 Rolex came, the warranty card looked different from the 2019 ones,,,it is because the AD's name isn't there. Thanks for the info
