Tudor Ranger or OP41?
This seems like a fair comparison since Rolex released their new 2020 models

OP41. I can't get past the lack of fitted endlinks on the Ranger bracelet.

OP41.
I think an Exp 1 is probably a better comparison. |

More specifically I believe on the wrist the ranger’s proportions will make it wear better on a smaller wrist. I tried to find an OP41 at the AD today to compare in terms of wearability vs my ranger which fits amazingly well for a 41mm.

Well, the Ranger is rated 50m deeper than the OP, its flat back makes it sit better on the wrist, and the blacked-out rehaut makes it less flashy, with 99% brushed steel throughout.
More space between springbar and case, plus lug holes, makes it easier to change straps (and it is a strap monster, unlike the OP). Also, the ETA 2824 movement can be serviced or regulated by pretty much any watchmaker anywhere, and will keep chrono time if correctly regulated. The domed crystal and red seconds hand perhaps give it more character than the OP, which is mainly relying on colour now, and I like the bracelet with non-fitted end links, which is a nod to the 1950s Tudors.

I bought my Ranger new @ 4yrs ago for $2100. They were discontinued this year. I always figured it to be more of a comparison to an Explorer on a budget with it's modified eta 2824 yet rated at 150m. I cherish mine, the dial, case and open lug bracelet works real well together. It's a great tool watch for the money.

I ordered mine from AD in June 2020 and took delivery in early July. Interesting thing is that when I went to pick up my ranger the shop owner offered me a bb58b on a bracelet. In the moment I was still laser focused on the ranger and how awesome it really is. After a weekend of thinking I decided that buying the bb58b was the right move and couldn’t pass up the opportunity. When people start discussing budget it begs the question 1 Rolex OP41 or à Tudor 2 piece value combo. You can see where my money went.
