126610LV name ?

I’m struggling to understand why some are naming this killer sub “Starbucks” or “Starbux” Doesn’t make sense to name one of the most desired watches after bad coffee... seriously!?

We should keep the naming traditional and in the family:
Kermit / New kermit / 41 Kermit / Kermit 41

I vote we respect the 16610LV and follow what has worked:
1) Kermit flat4
2) Kermit
3) Kermit 41

PS. Nice little collection

The green matches the Starbucks logo. Not a fan of the coffee or the green bezel personally.

I get the Cermit name but I started thinking of it as Kermit C when I first saw it.

None. Why do folks always have to name them. The Cermit is just plain stupid. Stop the madness.

Starbucks,
it fits,
( even fits better than Kermit which really didn't make THAT much sense back then
.... and which by the way, used to be called the Green monster back in 2004-5)
yes, I'm a boomer.

It is all good, this is a hobby. I am good either way, we all know exactly what people are talking about with the LV green subs.

I think some of you need to lighten up. I know reference numbers as well as anyone but don't object to a shorthand, fun nickname. These are not sacred relics we're talking about...they're watches. I vote ceramic Kermit.

Is this with the AD who sold you the Daytona and Kermit? Because otherwise you may be burning a bridge considering they gave you two of the hottest Rolex references there is...

When you use nicknames I can’t even guess the model you are referring to?

All of todays rather childlike names used for Rolex watches in general are used by those that have no real interest in learning the correct references for Rolex watches. And like most silly nicknames more suited to children of kindergarten age, or so called social media sites, instead of intelligent hopefully adults learning the reference numbers and history of the RWC.

It's called the Submariner Date 126610LV. People can call it whatever they want. If the nickname is not well established and/or makes no sense, other people will not know what they are talking about. Which will result in people who don't know what they are talking about, talking to people who don't know what the people who don't know what they are talking about, are talking about. But they'll tell them off anyway.

Sounds like an average day on the forum :)
