Choosing between a Sub 1680 from '77 or '78

When having the choice between very similar looking & priced Subs 1680 (MK2) from '77 & '78,..which year would you go for?
(PS: Both are without service replacements)

If they are really identical, I'd go with the older one. But, I cant imagine they are identical!

Need photos! They might be similar, but they won't be identical.

Year doesn't matter, just condition.

.....but service parts may be a good thing if you are not really a collector and/or interested in resale value and are looking for a fully functional watch you can wear on a daily basis.....so I guess the answer is “it depends”.....
