26331 black dial, should I buy?
The Store offered me 26331 chrono black dial, should I take it?
No history, just walk in. Is this hard to get? Or should I wait for 15500? I prefer blue dial, but don’t know how long it waits. |

I personally wear my ROC a lot more than the RO. However, if the 15500 is what you actually want, I would wait.

buy only want you really want - for the price of the chrono black dial you can just buy a black dial 15500 on the grey market.
But you could also buy the chrono and wear it and then sell it once and if they offer you a 15500 - probably wont lose much money |

You should buy only the one that you really want, but 15500st blue dial will be very hard to acquire, you might have to wait for awhile.
26331st blue dial is also hard to acquire also. Even white or black dial are also sell at a premium in the secondary market. If you like it also, just take it.

To me the RO and ROC are more similar than different. If you like it, I don't think you will be disappointed. I also doubt you will still want the blue dial RO after you experience the ROC.

I originally went into the store to enquire about a grey dial 15500. I left with a black dial 26331. It's probably my favourite watch in my collection.

I bought the watch. Now the warranty card, the serial # TRxxxxL. Is AP serial number random, same as Rolex?
And the warranty card had no purchase date, is that normal? So how to proof the watch is bought in Oct 2020? Thanks. |

didn't you get a receipt with a date that references the serial number of the watch?

If you bought it from an AP Boutique then they did the 'back end' registration for you, i.e. their system knows when you purchased it. However, to check, go to the AP site, create an account and add your watch to your account (if it isn't already there). When you add your watch you'll need your watch's serial number and the warranty card, once added it will tell you when your warranty expires. It's always worth checking the registration of a new watch has been done for you, if not do it yourself and that way you get the full five year warranty, rather than just two.
p.s. Welcome to the AP family. |

Got mine today, this same variant - the 26331ST in black.
First AP for me and super happy with the boutique experience and the timepiece! |

If you like it, I'd say "yes". I purchased one earlier this year and now wear it more than any other watch in my collection. Unless you have really small wrists, it wears very comfortable. I'm really enjoying mine.
