Lf you can't get the overhyped Nautilus or Royal Oak ...

Since I saw the first Octo Finissimo I loved the watch, only one thing that did not convince me was the titanium case and the fact that case, dial and bracelet all had the same colour.
Now, when Bvlgari released the steal finissimo with blue dial I couldn't resist.

So well made, already an iconic watch and that ultra thin movement really rocks.
I have worn quite a few Nautilus and Royal Oak (and the offshores). I will NOT say the Bvlgari is better ............... But I can't say it's less.
Imo they do belong in the same category with one big exception... you don't have to beg your AD to get one. Maybe that will change one day.
As for the price ? It's a bargain compared to Mr and Misses Nautilus-Royal Oak.
Now putting it on the wrist .. it is simply better. Never had a more comfortable watch.

If you're a watch snob you'll probably always prefer the Patek and AP cause social media like Instagram and other worthless sources tell you too but I hope real watch enthusiasts are smarter

Great looking watch, only seen the titanium IRL. Does it wear big?

Outstanding pictures and a great timepiece.

For me personally though, the lack of any heft is a drawback. Doesn’t come close to feeling substantial. Can’t fault the design and the engineering on this is radically ahead of most competing products. Maybe I’ll come to love it one day, maybe not.

It’s a very beautiful piece. Nice pictures too. I will never understand the hype behind the 5711. I think it’s a beautiful watch also however to me it’s not worth a dime over 22K. And even at that price I would have to think about it before buying one. The VC Overseas, AP 15500 and Patek 5711 should all be priced around 18K. They are all equal in quality, craftsmanship and design. And the very idea of paying 60K for 5711 is so foreign to me that I just cannot comprehend it even after pondering it for a while. I would think the individual that does pay that much would have to have so much money that $60,000 is just meaningless to them like $20 is to me.

I understand, most of the times I prefer heavy watches.
But in this case I can live with it, it's part of the ultra thin style ... and it's just so comfortable on the wrist

I agree but on the other hand ... If you really want a 5711 ant can't get one
Why not pay the 60K, after all it's not gone cause if you sell it later you'll get your money back.
Compared to the watches you can get for 60K a 5711 is not worth it ... but like said, you can always ell it afterwards

Congrats, it is a beautiful timepiece. Didn’t want to put it down, and hope it didn’t come across that way. It’s a marvelous piece of engineering which maybe I’ll warm up to eventually

If they make a date version before the Moser Streamliner does then I'd grab this for sure

Congrats on a very good looking watch, everything looks amazing.
The fact is so thin complements the overall package even more.

Post wrist photos when you have the time.

Bulgari’s Octo collection are amazing, and it got much nicer with the blue dial and increased waterproof.
In my view to reach perfection they need to add loom.

Excellent choice.

The point of the ultra-thin masterpiece in Titanium is the ultra-light weight.

I got one when they first released it. Fits like a second skin.

Love the piece.

I tried on the sandblasted gold version which is heavy and a bit of a contradiction to the ultra thin approach. It messes with your mind in a nice way

So if you need heft then that is definitely an option for some.

The blue dial and 100m WR are much needed updates.

And as someone above mentioned they need black lume for the hands and markers. Would be the ideal package.

Wow, REF. 103431 is lovely all on her own, thus no need for a comparo imho. Manufacturers are really stepping up their game during 2020

Had about 8 or 10 Pateks over the years until they went to the crapper imho. Only the most foolish would pay an inflated $60k for a $20k timepiece from a new-ish company that has looooong service times and an extremely short warranty. Modern PPs do nothing for me because the new-ish company that's behind them.........

Does it come with a strap? Think the bracelet looks a bit industrial rather than artisanal. Weak spot for the Odysseus and a number of PP bracelets, this seems to be the hardest thing to make right nowadays.

Why is everyone quoting that the 5711 is $20k? Haven’t been following Patek that long but now they are 33.7? Was there a 150% price hike over the recent years? I know about the 10% hike from last year.
