That rotor whiz feeling...

I’ve noticed over the past few days that when I move my wrist in that oh so particular way, I can feel the rotor on my 1680 whiz around. I’ve felt that on a few of my other watches before but never on my Sub. Does that suggest it’s in need of a service? It’s still keeping time very well.

Since this is a bidirectional winding rotor it does not freewheel in one direction so is very unlikely you are experiencing the rotor spin. However, if the mainspring is close to being run down then the rotor will move more freely until spring tension provided some resistance. Try winding it.

It could be an issue with the reversers on the automatic bridge. If you hold the watch upside down/dial down and wind the watch, you shouldn't feel the rotor spinning. If you do, you may want to send it out.

That wouldn’t account for that feeling of the rotor “wobble” when wearing though. It’s not a 7750!

Right, that's why I offered a an example that would assist in doing a self diagnosis for a possible issue. I'm sorry you are unable to follow the basic directions, or maybe they are too technical for you. Perhaps OP will have better luck.

If it feels like it is wobbling then it might be a rotor axle going bad

Never felt my 1680 rotor wobble. Tudor Big Block rotor wobbles like a MF, though.

Maybe have someone take a look at it. It could be causing damage if it's somehow off-center or unbalanced.
