Precious metal vs. Stainless Sport
I have Everose Sky Dweller Sundust. Is it better to keep one precious metal model, or sell and grow a collection? Ceramic Daytona, sub, stainless sky, etc.

I’m of the view that you should keep what you like wearing. I understand that the lure of having multiple watches over one is for lost a better option but then you’ve got to consider what you’d be able to gain especially when you’re after what are considered “hot models”. If you found a grey dealer that’s willing to do you a decent trade for a couple of what you’re after (a few if you’re able to broker a great deal) then why not! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Only you can answer that question. I have 18 watches but only have 2 all gold and 3 TT. The other 13 are SS. I cannot see myself wearing all gold daily. SS for everyday using my precious metals for nice occasions is my style. Everyone has there own preference.

Up to you but wearing a PM SkyD made me lose interest in SS watches.
Quantity is relative, you can buy a hundred watches or more for one PM SkyD. Is that smart ?

I daily wear one watch only. A 116618LB. There is nothing in SS I desire anymore. Gold scratches that daily itch so well!

Less is more. 1-2 SS sports is plenty.

Every SS I’ve purchased since getting my first PM has not lasted very long. I think you’ll regret it.

I find that PM isn’t right for every occasion. At least YG and RG. This is of course my own humble opinion.
There is also something nice about a “light weight” SS watch to be able to switch to. I feel like having at least 1 SS watch is important for a collection’s wearability. You know, SS for that charity event you want to stay under the radar for bc your not a big donor. Can’t show up in a 30-40k flashy piece. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

its all about your preference, money wise there isn't much advantage of PM over SS nowadays.

you can send it to me during off weeks and i will wear it for you in good health. no seriously, i think it's a horrible time to be buying other s/s watches right now. at some point these will fall in price again and become more readily available. but ultimately, if you no longer love your (our) skydweller, then by all means sell it for what you love. just be sure you're decision is not influenced by the hype |

Well your RG SkyD has rocketed up in price recently ALOT more than any SS has so you would be way ahead.
These days precious metal is hotter than SS. |

There's no right answer; if you're bored and get a good price then why not! Recognize that you might have a hard time finding replacements at a good price in stainless!!! Your piece and your gamble!!!

I have 4 YG watches...Honestly I will keep purchasing PM...I can't wear a SS watch anymore...I'm spoiled and the prices of steel watches are insane..... for a few dollars more I can step up to a PM piece that i won't see on every other wrist...Just save up for another watch

You can only wear one watch at a time.
I would hang on to your PM. |

It's about what you wear and want. If you like the PM SD then keep it. But if you want variety then having some SS is a good choice. I have 4 PM and more than 10 SS and while I prefer PM I also like many of the SS models.

This is, in my opinion, the most stunning Rolex dial there is. If not the absolute best, then extremely close to it! Grail goal for me.

I dont do PM on sport watches. Beside the wrist presence PM only offers downside if one actually uses the watch for sport. Stronger material and lighter weight keep my sub from flopping on my wrist when playing tennis, basketball, mountain biking. Yes, yes, I know I can get a PM watch and make it uncomfortably tight to prevent the flopping, but its simply physics. PM for dress watches, SS for sport watches and all rolex outside Celinni are sport watches. If one just wears as most do here for desk diving and you dont mind the bling factor, to each his own.

Keep the pm! It will be easier to add a steel piece later

I have the silver dial (similar maybe the same) on the YG model. The dial is discontinued so Imagine the same would be true for yours.
Bad move if you ask me keep it it’s a very very special watch. |

There's no 'better,' just what works best for you.
Just understand: proceed with the knowledge this move is one that's very costly to reverse should you change your mind and want to go back. Usually in these situations, the better move is to take your time, save, and add rather than trade. But...you gotta do you. |

OP, your best bet is to get timepieces you love and enjoy wearing.
All else is noise.

My opinion, I'd keep the Everose SkyD; that pm/dial combo is an absolute stunner. It's your preference so only you can decide if it sings to you or not.
