Looks alright to me, I believe this is what considered a "transitional" 16660 Sea-Dweller. It has a sapphire crystal instead of the plastic crystal on the 1665, but still had the same matte dial and indices. The later 16660 had a gloss dial with silver colored circled indices.

Yeah, not sure what would be wrong with it, looks alright to me.

Pretty honest, actually, nice to see they left the clasp untouched, even though there are scratches, some dealers would try to polish them off and screw the entire clasp.

Love it. I'd just ask Sacha for a UV pic.

In fact I'm very interested about it and I do not see anything wrong at all but since people have here much more knowledge / experience than me I wanted other opinions confirming my thoughts

Thanks all

Maybe sleeve polished? It’s not NOS, but it’s sharp.

Agreed. Case is fantastic. Lug holes look flat, and the crown guards are very thick with that squared-off look and ridge line. Polished SDs almost never have that. Not convinced it's been polished, but hard to know 100 percent. Let's put it this way .... there are plenty of sellers who have advertised "unpolished" cases that don't look as good as this case.

Thanks for your words And what about this one ? Sorry to be confusing but I'd like to buy one before Xmas, it will be either a 16520 or a red 1680 or a Triple 6...I love thoses 3 references and I hope that somewhen I'll have all...

Decide on the reference, then focus on the best example you can find.
Do you know any dealers on a first name basis? Sacha and Roy are fun people to know.

My preference would be a 16520 my regarding the prices and what I find here in EU I’m also having a look for matte dials that I also appreciate a lot. I do not know personally the Davidoff brothers but spoke with them a couple of time before and after finding my 105.012

What's your question about the Daytona? Looks nice overall. Price is maybe a little high, but that recent Rolex service is worth a minimum of about $1300 alone, plus it should give you peace of mind about authenticity. If it were me, I'd ask to see the service paperwork with a detailed description of the work done.

Yes, if someone sees service parts but I guess no, condition of the parts, especially the case. Thanks !

Case looks quite strong. It's been polished, but looks nice. Just look at the crown guards, and how they're rounded a little. That's the give-away.

Compare them to these unpolished crown guards/case.

it was again claimed as unpolished but like 99% of the time it is not...since this daytona had a rolex service almost one and a half year ago that was clear that they polished it...it looks to clean to do not has been...but slightly polished is also ok for me...You nevertheless find the case / whole watch appealing or not?
