MSRP's Missing - Price Increases?

I just noticed the MSRP prices are missing from the AP website for USD, however it is present for GBP. Can anybody else confirm this, and does anybody know the reasoning for it - Is this a new change, or perhaps just a transient situation?

I had heard a rumor there may be another price increase coming...I am not sure if this is foreshadowing that.

not enough price increases lately - they really needed that one - what is this the 3rd price increase in less than 12 months?

I think I am out - moving on to collecting porsches seems cheaper.

I forget if these are the exact numbers, but they boosted the price of the 15450 from 17Kish to over 20K recently. They are well outpacing any inflation related increases. I know SS is in demand, but it’s hard to feel you’re not getting ripped off when you’re paying several grand more for the same watch just because of an arbitrary price increase. I get that these are luxury items and prices are arbitrary, but they should at least have some cover (like a new movement or model) to justify big price increases. Someone with more AP knowledge will assuredly correct me.

I complained and then some. But then still bought my 26315 regardless at MSRP after the most recent price hike. The demand is real for AP. I guess they can get away with it?

Was there a price increase in the US back in 1 July, when Asia had a hike?

If no, could just be them bringing US prices in line with ROW.

Asia had 2 increases this year - once in January, and again in July.

Think they’re just realigning prices with other regions.

Gold prices are up 30% ytd, EUR/USD has depreciated 10% ytd. While jewelry and watch brands don’t necessarily mark to market their pieces for raw material cost fluctuations, those two factors and magnitude warrant a price adjustment IMO.

Realistically won’t effect demand and is a small win for existing owners

Codes are also going up, can't say if it's the time only models and/or chrono, but I did hear they were included in the price increase.

Likely CODEs as well. If you’re interested, I’d suggest reaching out to SA TODAY.

My SA very kindly reached out since I had a partial deposit and I prepaid the residual to lock in current pricing.

Patek did a very significant rise recently. AP next in line.

Part of it may be material cost but its mostly just riding and cashing in on the booming watch market. Its business and you cant blame AP etc.

Everything here seems to be spot on. 7-8% increase across the board is what I was told. Yes, that includes Codes.

Nobody likes price increases but I do understand where AP is coming from here. To see the premiums that are being paid, I’m sure they view this as being able to grab some of that.

I just see it all as part of the game now. However, your lovely 15407 just got that little bit more valuable and the premium you paid just got a little less.

What I haven't fathomed are the specifics of regional increases. Logic suggests that it should be an arbitrage of CHF against other currencies, but it doesn't appear that way, or maybe AP have a ton of hedges/options that expire for different currencies at different times. Again, just par for the course these days.

Gary, I won’t lie. I’m secretly hoping they raised the 15407 by 25%

Nice pickup, I'm not a dress watch person, but these are growing on me, maybe I might consider one for when I grow up and start acting my age. Nice and enjoy.

I don't blame them given what most ROs are at second hand.

Hi everyone, first post on the AP forum.

I know the prices of 15450 (as I am on a waiting list for it), give or take couple of hundred euros. It also depends which county in Europe will be selected (e.g. prices in Spain are higher than Germany)

Dec 2019: EUR 16.8k
Jan 2020: EUR 19.6k
July 2020: EUR 21.0k

If there is another 7%-8% increase that will mean approx. 33% increase compared to Dec 2019, which is quite a lot.
