If it's a 1990, it should be a 16710. The 16700 was also made in 1990, but would have been marked "GMT Master" while the 16710 is marked "GMT Master II"...
I bought a like new P-serial 16710 (2000) with box and papers earlier this year for $12,500, so $9,500 is probably a fair price without box and papers depending on condition.

It seems a reasonable price they are great watches I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.Just done a quick search and you can buy one from Tropical watch for $9850 so for the money I’d maybe buy one from a reputable dealer

I’d pass at that price. I realize most gray dealers are charging these crazy prices for these models but that bubbles gonna break soon. There is no shortage of 16710 models. If buyers STOP paying those ridiculous prices it would pop sooner

Based on that one bad photo, no, I wouldn't pay $9500.
Now, if you have a series of photos showing the watch properly and in detail at different angles to determine if the case is really unpolished and that the dial is mint, then yes, perhaps. Another factor would be service history, and whether the bracelet is original to the watch. |
