Tudor 79090 Crystal /////ADVISE NEEDED/////

Hi Guys,

I recently bought a tudor 79090, and tried to change the bazel insert, however when I removed the bazel, the whole thing came out as one piece including the ring that stays on the case, I took it to a watchmaker who after trying to put it together failed and now telling me that the crystal is not the correct one.

I was surprised as the watch and crystal were perfect, and bazel used to turn as it should with no issues.

I have a crystal 25-127 for 1680 Sub, will this fit? the watchmaker is saying that I need to source a 166 crystal which I've never heard of.

Any advise or help is highly appreciated.

Thanks,

Sounds like your watchmaker doesn't know what he is talking about. If you have the retaining ring that goes under the bezel then its a simple install. You put the ring on then push the bezel until it clicks (takes a lil strength and I have used the edge of a table before to get it to snap on.

Your 25-127 will fit perfectly, however the date cyclops will be slightly off.

Thank you so much for the advise, I thought so, and I think I need to get my watch back from this guy. I was also advised from a friend that B25-144 is the one that goes on the 79090.

Will see what happens next and will let you know.

Thanks

Post a pic of the Tudor !
Worst case I bought an entire bezel assembly from my Rolex dealer a couple of years back for c$300. Bezel, insert, washer and the seating ring.
