FS: Rolex Explorer II - U-serial, 16570 - box & papers
Selling this great Exp II as I’m thinking of getting a dress watch - it’s really a catch and release, as I purchased the watch from a local reseller in July to cover me me while my SD4K was being serviced. While I like it a lot and owned the 42mm version a couple of years back (this is better sized IMO), I already have a 5-digit SD4K which is hard to beat.
General details: - U Serial watch with Japanese papers (please google for more info) - Has the correct 78790 bracelet and 501B end links - Comes with original papers and manuals, as well as 2014 RSC service paperwork performed in Japan with an (expired) Rolex warranty card - Green inner box is in good condition but marked in the top left corner - Cardboard outer boxes are generally good but the corners are not as sharp as they could be - Currently sized for my approx. 7.5” wrist, 1 spare link included The watch: - Runs and keeps time within COSC specs, no issues with power reserve - I had LAWW check the movement over while they were looking at my wife’s Airking and they didn’t say it needed servicing right now, but suggested getting it done in about 2 years - While @ LAWW I had them replace the crystal with an OEM unit (there was a very small chip on the edge) and do a light refinish of the case and bracelet - it really didn’t need much at all; service paperwork is included Condition (Google drive link below with all photos): - Bracelet is in excellent shape, per the photos. There is a little stretch from the links near the case - Case is in great to excellent condition - lugs are sharp and there are no dings to speak of - Bezel is in similar condition to case Price: - $6750 shipped in the US via USPS, insured - 3 Day inspection period, you pay return shipping if not as described - Wired funds preferred, PayPal accepted but +3% to cover fees References: Although I’ve been on the forum for a few years, I’ve rarely posted and really used it for purchases to feed my watch habit :). I realize this makes me an unknown quantity of sorts. That said - this watch was recently @ LAWW and while they don’t certify the watch, I’d like to think they would call out anything suspicious - I’ve sold a number of watches via eBay (100% feedback, long term seller, PM me for info); I'm not using eBay for this watch as I don't like their 3rd party validation work - maybe in a year or 2 when it's been proven not to be problematic :) - I've bought/sold a number of watches from forum member cwieb - I sold my 6 digit GMT Master II locally and can provide his info as a reference. - Bought a Ceramic Sub from sdwatches In person inspections are 100% okay with me, if you live in the Los Angeles metro area - if you don’t but have a trusted forum member you’d like to inspect the watch on your behalf, that’s also fine with me. Face masks and hand sanitizer are required!. No issues also validating via FaceTime or WhatsApp video. Photos: https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...Id?usp=sharing Thanks for looking |
