Does anyone, anymore cares.... to buy a Milgauss GV..?
Seems to me, that this watch is dead and buried for good...

I wouldn't mind having one...but it's not something that I HAVE TO have. I'd take a regular Milgauss just the same.

I personally think the 116400GV is a great looking watch on the wrist... There is still a demand for them IMHO as many AD's that I know have been selling them consistently at 5% off or Retail..

The speculators that drove the price up in the first place are gone and now it is available for purchase a lot easier than before for prospective buyers..

IMHO I do believe that there will be a dry spell as Rolex cuts production and in the long run it will be a good watch to own.....

I like it,but I would never ever buy it....not even at 50% of the price.

I tried on a regular Black Milgauss a few weeks back and I really liked it. I wouldent mind owning a GV as I like the green sapphire, but Im not obsessed by it by any means.

Yasou Tasos, I think the supply has caught up to the market demand.

Are you getting many requests from buyers, you do have the best prices around.

I wouldn't mind owning one, but I have mixed feelings toward the watch. No date, con. Bigger case, pro. The only thing is that when I really look closely at the dial it looks so much cheaper than some of the other Rolex models (e.g., Sub, GMT, etc.). It just seems to be more plasticy in looks. Just my perspective. If the price was right, I'd probably buy one.

GV still in demand, it's the economy A. Most AD's in short supply.

The hype was all very silly, tall tales of "production difficulties" and all that, daft $15,000 / £8,000 prices.

Nevertheless it is the nicest Rolex in the entire range IMO and providing you got it for a very keen price I think it will pay it's own way in the long term.

If ever I sell my collection my nicely discounted GV will be the last one to go.

If I was to get a Milgaus it would be a GV. I think the green chrystal is cool. But I prefer other models. Probably would buy a DJ before a Milgaus.

I tryed one on yesterday at my AD. He had a white and black dial along with the GV. The GV jumped more out with the green tint, very nice. He had it at the same price as a SD he also just got in, M ser# i checked Lol. I really like it, but given the choice, my SD would have been first to buy for me. He also got in a SDDS, i tryed that on, wow, thats a big watch. Lol Ron

I like the green tint. I even like the Shazaam Hand!! I just can't wear one without a date feature.

I think the GV is spectacular. One of the most striking and handsome variations on the Oyster theme to come from Rolex in decades.

While still readily identifiable as a Rolex, the watch is set apart from the rest of the range by its anti-magnetic innards, lightning-bolt second hand and of course those beautiful colors: the deep orange details that perfectly complement the paler orange sticks at 3, 6 and 9, and of course the famous green Coke-bottle crystal.

I think the only other new design that pulls off such a successful harmony of novelty and tradition is the GMT IIc.

I love it! But for its price, there are two or three other watches that I would buy first. If it was consistently around 5K, Id really consider making it my next watch. The Orange looks awesome, but I cant see it wearing it with everything.

Said it before but will say it again here, I love the GV and the white. Don't much care for the black. That said I think in 20 years all three will be hard to find and desireable but that the GV will always command a premium. The Milgauss has never been and never will be a high number production watch for Rolex (probably the lowest production of all SS sport models ) and of all 3 the GV is certain to remain the least common because of it's unique crystal.

I can't understand why a watch would be dead and buried just because prices have fallen to realistic levels and it's now (supposedly) more readily available than before. By that logic, Datejusts, Air Kings, gold Daytonas, gold Yachtmasters and the dozens of Rolexes always on display in AD showcases should also be dead and buried.
