Unexpected Datejust 41
I texted my AD guy and told him I was interested in a smooth bezel DJ41 on Jubilee with a blue stick dial.
He told me "Honestly its going to be awhile." I said "What is your definition of a while?" He said maybe this Feb or Mar. That was a week ago. I decided to just stop in and try on a TT just to see how it felt on the wrist. He says "What were you looking for again? Jubilee? Hold on a minute." He goes in the back and comes out with a blue stick dial Oyster. Basically the opposite of what I was looking for. I asked him if it was spoken for and he told me sadly it was, but do I want it if the guy passes? Well, it didn't take long to decide that the fluted bezel on Oyster was the way to go. I was smitten as soon as I tried it on. I didn't think the guy would pass on it, but he called me the next day and said he had passed, and it was mine if I wanted it. I had to jump on it! All I can say is WOW, this is beautiful!! The blue is heavenly, but subtle. At certain angles in all lighting, you would think it was black. He even left the stickers on so I could peel them off myself. I have a 7" flat wrist, and all links are still on, but in the tightest position. Pics to follow. |

Very nice watch but you wanted a DJ41 with a smooth bezel and jubilee bracelet but you bought the one with a fluted bezel and oyster bracelet.
Looks like the opposite for me, what did change your mind?

You will be very happy you went with the fluted bezel down the road, trust me. Great watch. I have the same configuration and color in the DJII and still love it.

It is the opposite. Seeing the fluted bezel and Oyster combo in person changed my mind. Instantly.
