Finally got one!

I've been on the search for one of these for quite some time now and I was finally able to come across the right one. The 3572.50 to me is amazing in the fact that it has a hesalite front and sapphire back. I originally went to purchase the sapphire sandwich and when I saw it in person I just couldn't do it... I'm so glad I was patient and found this one. I find myself much more into Omega these days. Not sure if it's the whole Rolex/Patek grey market insanity, or just my natural evolution in collecting, either way I'm pretty pumped on this one. Happy Sunday everyone

Congrats bud, looks beautiful. I am the same, I have been busy with my Omega boutique as I can't be stuffed dealing with Australian Rolex dealers. Enjoy in good health!

That's cool. I didn't even realize they made a hesalite Speedy with a sapphire display back. Nice pick up, congrats

Thanks so much everyone!!! I’m totally stoked on this one and it’s hard to find a strap that
looks bad on it lol. There’s something about the speedmaster moonwatch aesthetic that I’ve grown to appreciate much more as time goes by. I plan to get a straight lug version at some point as well.

congratulations! I too find myself gravitating towards Omega lately. I've been on the hunt for a 3572.50 for a month or two now

Congrats, and yes there's far more than Rollie or PP. Do you have a Panerai yet?

Great question, I love the idea of the seeing the movement, however the sapphire front crystal is what I don’t particularly like in comparison to the hesalite. Why? Because the shape of the sapphire isn’t as good looking to me and also the dreaded “milky ring” around the perimeter just bothers me lol. I thought how bad could it really be? Well... when I saw it in person I realized it would forever bother me because now that I see it I can’t unsee it. If it doesn’t bother you I say go for it because otherwise it’s a beautiful piece and less maintenance. But for me, I’m one of those geeks that actually likes polishing my hesalite here n there. I don’t mind collecting some scratches on the crystal and then cleaning them up when I feel it’s time. I just prefer the look and distortion of the more vintage feel of the hesalite front so the 3572.50 is the best of both worlds!

Through well over 20 years of collecting I have yet to own a Panerai can you believe it? I know there are some amazing ones, I just haven’t yet.
I tend not to go above 42mm although I must say I was VERY surprised at how well the 44.25mm speedmasters wore. For such a large watch they have a great lug fitment for a wide variety of wrist sizes. I tried on a black ceramic 44mm Alinghi speedmaster at the OB and didn’t wanna take it off lol. So with that now known, I just may introduce a Panerai at some point.

they are nice. have owned around 5.
my first was 005, loved it and should not have sold
also had 292, 312, 127
and still have 388.
will probably own more again but have been trying to shrink collection and not sure there is room for more than 1.

getting into panerai can be a rabbit hole, like Omega, and interestingly, unlike Rolex - at least for me.
could be the whole lame hype thing, but i think also the size.
