Is this a "piranha bezel" on this Tudor Jumbo Date+Day?
The bezel on this 7019/3 on eBay doesn't look like a regular fluted bezel to me:
It looks like what AVW once called a "piranha bezel" on a Rolex 1605: Does anyone have any more familiarity with these bezels? Thanks! |

I believe so, and saw one on a 1605 can't remember where, found it. I personally love the look. This may be the same watch ? Chris

Never seen that on a Tudor Date-Day. For me it has to be a smooth bezel.

The Tudor looks like gold that has been polished, to me. I've never seen the "piranha", how utterly fascinating! Thanks so much for posting!

I love it and it's a first for me, not pretending to be well Rolex educated, though.
Maybe because my late father's 1955 DJ has a fluted bezel, smoothies are not to my personal liking. Thanks for sharing. This Forum is a MUST. |

This is 1956, my father is on 12k Aviators (below) and with your 6305, indeed. I have worked for a Honda Motor Co. Ltd. Gempo and to me you sound like the most western Nipponic on earth! Where the heck are you from? Now, quiz for Friday morning: What's on my father's wrist in the last picture (1958)? |

Those vintage Aviators are awesome. I'm guessing your dad's wearing a Sub in the last pic, and in that era it might be a 6536 or a 6538. Do you still have it? We seem to have derailed the thread somewhat, so to get us back on track, here's my 1969 Tudor Date-Day with the smooth bezel: |
