Tudor GMT Air France Dial

Anyone know much about the Tudor GMT Air France ‘shrimp’ dial. All I know is that Air France employees are given them. I think that Bell & Ross had a ‘shrimp’ dial as well.

I only know what you just told us. Interesting. I like watches that are issued like that.

Funny how Rolex keeps its tool heritage alive through Tudor.

Tudor GMT Air France Dial

Interesting! Corporations stateside no longer reward employees in such a way. Well they do, but typically with the employees choice of insignificant junk

My guess is 25 yr watch judging by the 93 date on the caseback and assuming it was handed out in 18

Tudor GMT Air France Dial

Cool that Rolex still makes custom dials for special groups uder their Tudor brand just like they used to do on Rolex models years ago. This blue Pelagos with the Marlin on the dial was available at my local AD and was issued for a local fishing tournament:

The shrimp dial BB GMT and Blue BB58 are a limited edition made for Air France employees only to buy. The GMT is a 300 pieces limited edition, and the BB58 a 100 pieces limited edition.
The "schrimp" is the nickname given by the Air France employees to the AF logo which is actually a seahorse. The Seahorse is an homage to the logo the first seaplanes had on.
The back of the watch is engraved with the name of the employee who buy it and with the date he was hired in the company. There is also a planisphere that was designed by Charlotte Perriand in the for the lobby of Air France headquarters.
The delivery of the watches is expected this summer.

I think a good quality watch is a great idea for a long service award as it'll save the employee paying any tax on a bonus and maybe the company can get some tax relief from the watch
