Datejust selection blue or white

I already own a sub-c date and plan to have another Rolex for more formal dress. Is it better to go with 126334 blue or white dial? I tend to choose white as to contrast with existing sub-c date.

In my opinion the white dial datejust looks more 2 dimensional than the other dials so I would go for the blue dial. I have a black dial for what it’s worth.

Both very nice, I would say white is 'dressier' if you're wearing it daily with a suit. Also more neutral if you're very fashion conscious and coordinating with your suit, tie, etc. I think color choice also depends on which markers and bezel you choose - it's the whole package, not just the dial color, that makes the character of the watch. Steel bezel sportier, WG fluted dressier. White Roman WG bezel is a very nice combination, white sticks more generic especially with steel bezel. Blue looks good with Romans or sticks or either bezel IMO. Have you considered rhodium? A lot of nice combinations possible there. The Wimbledon is probably the dressiest DJ of all.

Also don't worry about choosing the color based on contrast with the Sub. Think about it - that only matters when they're sitting in the watch box next to each other. You're only wearing one at a time. Pick the one you like best on your wrist.

BTW, I'm sitting here waiting for my adult kids to wake up so I can open the 126334 rhodium stick DJ41 that's under the tree!

I like the white dial as it is clean like the black and has a nice contrast. I have several black and white pairs of watches, SS Daytona's, Explorer II's, SS Sky-Dwellers and find they always work. Blue is nice and I own some blue dial watches but I get more wear out of the black and white.

I finally go with the white dial as this is the only model available in local AD. I am happy so far and thanks for the advise.

Perfect combo! White/WG bezel/Jubilee/sticks coordinate nicely. Well done. Enjoy it in good health.

Well I bought the White 116300 first, it pairs my Submariner Date pretty well, I rotate between them during work days.

Beauty. Congrats!

I have the white, and love the contrast with the other watches in my collection, which are mostly black/dark dials

I love the white dial Datejust. I own the blue. I recently purchased my first white dial watch and have really been enjoying it (SMP 300M). if you currently only have blue or black dial watches go for the white. It's a great change of pace. On its own I prefer the blue. As part of a larger collection I really dig the white.

Nothing wrong with a bit of Rhodium (or Slate as Rolex now calls it) for the dial, it has a wonderful sunburst look, its a great alternative to blue.

Edit: I see you picked up a white. Beautiful watch and really nice choice to go with fluted jubilee. Congrats
