Well, until I get 10 posts total, I can't link pics, even though I've been a long time member.
Suffice to say, I wore my 6105-8119 which I believe was made in June '74 if I'm reading the code right. Had it a long time, had one as a kid, but the original case version with "proof" dial. Then... when bed time rolled around I switched back to my daily wear Sinn 206 Arktis on fine link bracelet. I wore a 2003 YM since I bought it in 2003 and a Sub Date 16800 I bought in Dec. '82 prior to that, so this move to a Sinn or vintage Seiko or others is a leap of faith for the durability and accuracy I have become accustomed to. That said, the Sinn has been awesome! Rock solid 3.4+/day every day and made to take a beating, which if I know me, I will deliver on over time. Going to give the 16800 to my daughter's fiancee when they get married and eventually give her the YM - she picked it out for me on a vacation. Family heirloom things. Had both completely serviced at RSC and put them away, so they are showroom fresh. |
