Help: Worn Out/Stretched Oyster Rivet Bracelet

I inherited a Rolex Datejust 1600 from my grandfather a few months ago. The watch is from 1969 and the bracelet was replaced in 1972. I had the watch sized by a local jeweler when I got it and at the time it fit my wrist. However, in just a few months the band has stretched further to the point that I would need to remove more links to wear it. I have found some companies which repair bracelets, but most say that they won't touch a riveted one. I've also seen some people attempting to repair the bracelet themselves, what should I do?

No, I haven't contacted them yet. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll see if they can help me.

I have had rivet bracelets restored by Rolliworks recently, both USA and Swiss. Keep in mind that when the bracelet is restored, it will be shorter.
