Bravo!
Exactly why I chose the mightly SD!!!! The connection to the oilfield is unmistakable :) I wonder if Total knows about such activities on such a high cost spread? Those deepsea marine spreads can run 250-500MUSD/day..... that's an expensive Rolex Test if that ROV wasn't doing something else productive on that trip to bottom :) |

Excellent link, Al. Thanks!! I'm sure another 500 ft. would not have affected the watch.

Thanks for the link Al, yes the SD is a very tough watch, and its the only one that all Comex divers use.Thats one of the best endorsements you could ever have in the diving world. So good in fact that Rolex is proud to put Comex on the dial, and today is the only Rolex watch still being produced with another name on the dial.

I had thought about sticking mine on an ROV next time I'm offshore doing a deep water job and getting some footage of it ticking away with the overlay saying ~1200m but to be honest I think I'd be too scared to loose it. Lost far more expensive bits of kit in the past, but the difference with this one is we couldn't charge it to the client! |
