Alligator strap for deployant vs pin buckle

Hi All,

Does anyone know if Patek strap for tang buckle can be used with deployant?

Thanks.

Yes, the only difference is that the deployant strap has reduced padding so it fits the clasp better. Standard strap works just fine.

Yes, I have a 5153r-001 and ordered a pin one (“ardillon” buckle —that’s right term for that buckle, and a many blue alligator strap to have). Love having both!

It can be used but is not the correct lengths for best fit, Patek recommend a different length strap for deployant and the fit is much more comfortable with the correct strap.

Ordinary straps are 115/75mm and deployant ones are 125/65mm. Not a huge difference but since the PP deployant is quite long, putting it on a 75mm strap buckle end will make it too big for most non-pillow watch boxes.

Thanks for the info. It makes sense. Do you know the length for the deployant short strap?
