Patek Bracelet - Pin/Sleeve Material
For Patek bracelets with the pin/sleeve system, is the pin/sleeve made of the same metal as the bracelet?
For example, on a 5711r, is the pin/sleeve made of gold? If the pin/sleeve is made of steel, wouldn't that wear the softer gold and cause the bracelet to stretch? Does Patek use ceramic inserts in any of their newer models? Thanks! |

I believe they use the same material as the bracelet because ss is harder than WG and therefore would actully cause errosion constant friction between the two metals (not sure errosion is the correct word)
