My last annual flu jab made my arm more sore than in previous years. It’s nothing - just how it is.

Nice watch choice. I advise taking the next day off for your 2nd shot, with ample ibuprofen or Tylenol as needed. I was fine through the day, but took a 2 hour road trip the day after after which I felt like I was hit by a truck. The myalgia was no joke.

Oh yes sir..definitely...don’t mean to complain but that’s I felt weird....took a walk outside even in rain and feel so much better now
It’s funny they says not to premedicate with ibuprofen or any as it will decrease the efficiency ...I didn’t do that as I didn’t know how I would feel lol

My 89 year old dad and 86 year old mum both had their Pfizer 1st and 2nd jab. My dad said his shoulder was a bit sore after the 2nd jab for an hour or two. That’s it. Nothing to be worried about at all.

My God, is it that painful ?:-(
OP, this is a good idea for a new thread called:
What Was You Wearing when you took the vaccine :-)
But again guys, this is the first time I hear the shot cause that much pain!
All of the vaccines do that or just one in particular?

Please don’t exaggerate. He just said boy it’s painful - yeah my arm was sore after the flu shot but having a kick in the nuts is far more crippling. Ok?

No kidding. If they called me tomorrow and told me I could have it but it had to be in Mr Happy I would be there in 5 minutes. And book a trip to Hawaii after.

Oh - you might not even get a sore arm anyway. You might have absolutely no effects whatsoever. Everyone reacts differently.

The only pain myself and colleagues felt is arm soreness not unlike the flu shot. The myalgia was just the generalized soreness you feel like when you have the flu, and not experienced by everyone. Most of my coworkers premedicated with ibuprofen and experienced little to no symptoms.

Getting hit with COVID and even having relatively mild symptoms of loss of smell and taste >>>>> dealing with a few hours of potential body ache after this shot. Take reported symptoms of the shot more along the lines of "what you may expect when taking the shot that could potentially SAVE YOUR LIFE and REOPEN THE WORLD," and you will likely sleep better until you are able to get your dose.

Good for you Jeff. Sore arm for me as well for about two days but it was just my first dose. Felt like regular flu shot but all worth it.

Oh agree with you 1000%...
About the premedication., I saw articles not to do that as it may impact efficacy and in trials, they never did that wtih the test subjects.
I read that AFTER the shot, if you feel needed then you can take the Tylenol...but not before...thats what literature said
OFC Im not very knowledgeable so i just react..:)

I’m not exaggerating but rather wondering since another reply to OP warns that the second shot can be even worse.
I had no idea, that’s why I asked.

Even worse than? Have you ever been to a dentist and had a filling or a tooth out? Have you ever broken a bone? Have you ever cut yourself? Have you ever had surgery? Man up please!

Broken both arms. One ankle.
When at the dentist I go through 99% of the treatment without anesthesia.
