Incoming - a gift for my son !

A year ago I registered interest to buy myself a black Submariner date. I made a point of engaging politely and enthusiastically with the SA. I bought some earrings which my wife wanted. 3 months later without even a sniff of a call I registered interest with another AD. I thought it might be smart to cover the bases. Then in October I decided I was just not a big enough fish to obtain a Sub so I registered interest with the first AD to obtain a BB58 which literally appeared after just 3 days . And then the dream call came through in November from AD #1 that a Sub date was waiting for me. I was so overjoyed and collected it immediately. It has barely left my wrist.
And then you all know what happened next .... Yes AD#2 called me this week to tell me my Sub Date has arrived and is ready for collection. I was like a rabbit in the headlights... Shall I ? Shan’t I .
I gifted my son a Tag Aqua Racer a few years ago. He absolutely cherishes it and has become a bit of an enthusiast himself. He’s always asking to try on my Sub and spends ages gazing longingly at it.
So it was an easy decision. I’m now in possession of 2 identical Subs . My son’s is locked up in the safe ATM . I’m trying to work out the best time to give it to him .
I feel extremely fortunate to have landed the twin Subs.

That is so awesome, and huge congrats to you and your son. I hope one day my kids would appreciate any of my hobbies (watch and Pokemon cards.) Lol my favorite one would get the Pokemon cards.

Congratulations! It's always nice when you have a family member (wife, child, etc.) who actually enjoys watches too. Sounds like your son will really appreciate it.

What an awesome gesture. I look forward to passing my “collection” onto my son when he gets older.

Very cool! I wish I had your luck! One of my main reasons for collecting watches is to have the opportunity to pass them onto my children some day, so I'm glad you're able to do that for your son.

Wow congrats. Wise decision on taking it and storing it until it's the best time for him to get it and appreciate it!
