1565 hands different from 1575 movement hands?

I own a 1971 1675 GMT with a marked 1560 on the bridge movement. Recently my watchmaker tried to fit replacement 1675 hands. Only the hour hand would fit, the diameter of the bore on the second, GMT and minute hand seemed to be different and would not fit. Are 1565 movement hands are different from 1575 movement hands on a 1675?

Good morning

From my experience of working on 1675s I can say that the cannon pinion (minute hand), double toothed hour wheel (hour hand) and the 24hours wheel (GMT hand) are the same outside diameter on 1565 and 1575 movements.

The part numbers 8031, 8032 and 8033 for the wheels listed above are the same in the 1565 and 1575. Main difference is the beat rate and change to hacking function through the years.

16750 hands are different dimensions and the stacking order of the hands also changed.

Michael Klan at TSwissT de is very helpful and he will have some handsets that should suit your watch.

Hope that helps you

Simon
