321 incoming!
Well, it arrived this afternoon and it’s surpassed my expectations.
The finishing is excellent (although not noticeably different to the Apollo 11) but with much more of the surface polished. The ceramic bezel and the enamel tachy scale give it that pop and presence. The crystal is fantastic, with no milky ring whatsoever. Makes a huge difference. The dial is lovely and the movement fantastic. The bracelet is exactly the same as the Apollo 11 watch - the links are the same thickness and the brushed section the same diameter. I’m fine with that. Owning the Apollo, I’m firmly in the camp of the new flat link being one of the best bracelet/clasp combos on the market (small marks knocked off for lack of adjustment). When I got the call and bought unseen, I’ll admit I started to have a few doubts, but looking at it person I have none whatsoever. This watch looks miles better in person that it ever will in photos. The L2L, which I was ever so slightly concerned about is not an issue whatsoever. It fits like a glove. All in all, I’m absolutely delighted. To quote one of the video reviews, it’s (for me) the ultimate speedmaster in steel. To the elephant in the room - the price. Is it worth £11,950? Subjective obviously, but I have no regrets. It ticks every box for me and that’s what matters. It’s different gear to some others, but then it’s priced much higher. Everyone will have differing views, and that’s cool - there’s a speedy out there for everyone. It’s one I would thoroughly recommend seeing in person to understand what the fuss is all about. Sorry for the poor quality photos Have a great weekend all! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Now that’s how you do it! Wear in best of health and congratulations on, arguably, a “halo” piece for an iconic brand and model.

Looks great. Man with that movement and display case I'd be tempted to wear it backwards! Congratulations!

321 incoming!
A quick pic to show the difference to the pro. It’s much sleeker and feels notably smaller despite the dial being the same size....
Note the milky ring on the Apollo 11 crystal. Virtually Non existent on the 321 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I've said this already on OF but I'll say it here again: congrats!
The no-milky-ring picture next to the Apollo 11 is shocking! As mentioned in another thread, I've been lucky enough to have mine for a few months already, and now that the nice weather is back I am rediscovering it under sunlight. This is truly a special watch. |

Wow! Congrats!
If I never get the call for the Explorer, I may have to consider adding one of these. Worth the wait, and I have the 3186 and extremely happy with it. Two Speedmasters wouldn't be a bad thing. |

The new 3861 is fantastic and I certainly wouldn’t put you off, but an explorer and 3861 combo is going to be hard to beat for the money I reckon |
