Did someone say can the oyster perpetual dials be swapped?

So, I called Rolex St James today and spoke with a lovely lady, after my initial query I asked if I could ask a cheeky question and she said yeah go on! I simply put it to her that would Rolex allow someone to change the dial colour of on OP. The short answer was yes however, the dials have not been realeased to them, I probed further... I was told that when new watches come out in various dial colours they don't get the dial colours for at least a year. After about a year they become available to the service department and can be swapped and changed... She did say that if a particular colour becomes ever so popular Rolex will not allow that colour to go on it and she gave the example of the green Daytona and also gave an example of the DSSD JC. She did say, if one particular colour became very very popular they wouldn't do it - I asked what's the chances of this happening and she stated as far as they were aware the dials will be with them within the next 4-5 months and that she would be surprised if Rolex stopped them from changing it "so far we have not been told otherwise"

Hope that helps folks - please do not shoot the messenger.

Interesting idea. If a dial is swapped, have it done at an AD. Anyone else and it voids any remaining warranty.
