For sale is an excellent condition 40mm Rolex 5513 gilt underline Submariner circa 1963. The 5513 includes inner and outer ribbon box, original guarantee papers, and an owner added Rolex booklet from the era. This exceptional sub is as close to a full set you can get, sans hang tags and anchor. The watch is a one owner piece who found it too nice to wear. As a result, this Submariner spent most of its life safely tucked away, resulting in one of the cleanest examples you will find. The Submariner was recently had its movement serviced and crystal polished. Otherwise, it remains as found. The dial is something that must be seen to be fully appreciated. Barring a small imperfection below the center post, one could be forgiven for thinking the underline dial was made yesterday. The gilt dial retains its full, mirror-like gloss with zero degradation or cracking. The lume is fully intact with no chipping and glows bright when exposed to UV before quickly falling off. The dial and hands glow at the same rate. The long 5 bezel insert is in outstanding condition showing very little wear. The sub’s pointed crown guard case is unpolished and thick with even lugs and sharp, pronounced chamfers. The case back has an inscription bearing the original owners name, city, and state. Overall, the case is in amazing shape with light wear consistent normal use on an occasional basis. The watch will come with its original CI stretch rivet bracelet dated to ’64. It has virtually no stretch and light wear throughout. The 5513 is powered by a Rolex caliber 1530. This is an honest, no excuse piece and would make an incredible addition to any collection.

Shall deliver with 15 month in house warranty on the movement for $64,500 plus applicable state sales tax where required.
