This is the Ming 17.06 Slate. This explosive microbrand was a recent winner at GPHG 2019 for “Horological Revelation” that is a prize awarded to the most outstanding newcomer in the industry. This timepiece is presented in a gorgeous shade of slate on polished-brushed stainless steel. The way that the dial plays with the reflection of the light is a work of art. Ming seems to have found a successful recipe of releasing their timepieces; enough to satisfy the demands of their true fans and yet far from enough to be mainstream. It’s among the hottest microbrands in the world of horology today and with a timepiece like the 17.06, it’s easy to see why.
